SHOW NOTES

Jay has a variety of brilliant sketches on his YouTube channel - some musical, some factual. Here’s a recent favourite of ours with a brief cameo from previous CH guest Ashens:

Holiday For Strings is a memorable piece of music, often used to imply a holiday, or escapism of some kind, or to evoke a 1950’s feeling. Similar music is used in the soundtrack to It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and occasionally in The Simpsons.

Liam also referenced the Art of the Score podcast, which is one of his favourite music-related shows. Art of the Score is an in-depth podcast series discussing the world of film scores. If that sort of thing interests you, you can find more information on the show’s website.

HOW TO SUPPORT THE SHOW

Our plan is that this show will always be available for free, but super fans are encouraged to support The Conversation Hat via Patreon. There’s a whole bunch of rewards available for doing so, including your own Conversation Hat hat, downloads of music written for the show, early access to episodes and bespoke limericks: www.patreon.com/conversationhat

If patronage isn't up your street, then maybe this is for you: Super Loot want to deliver a box of nerdy merch and geek chic to your doorstep each month, and will do so for £19.99, (you can get your first one for £15!) Take a gander, right flippin' now! www.superloot.co.uk/ConversationHat

If you'd like to support the show without spending any money, (which is fine by the way, I guess), there are a few ways you can do that: feel free to follow us on Twitter and retweet anything you see us post; like us on Facebook and hit as many thumbs-up icons as you possibly can; Follow StabbedPandaTV on YouTube, watch some of the Conversation Hat videos hosted on there and leave some nice comments on the videos as well; leaving us a positive review on whatever listening platform you use is also massively helpful, especially so on iTunes.
