13939345_1230787163633008_446234994450246013_n.jpg

This week's guest is singer and guitarist of Cambridge rock band Too Cool Kid, Jay Plent. You can, (and should), check out Too Cool Kid and download their entire repertoire from BandCamp, or get news and that from their Facebook page.

In this episode we talk about fighting schoolchildren, our spirit animals and whether we'd prefer to be a werewolf, vampire, or a zombie. Included are a sketch titled Armageddon, and the song KingWerewolf.

SHOW NOTES

Here are some of the things we spoke about in this episode.

First off, What We Do In The Shadows is a mockumentary film featuring some of the chaps from Flight Of The Concords. A household of vampires are interviewed about attempt to integrate in society and deal with the everyday trials and tribulations of being a vampire.

When we spoke about zombie movies, we accidentally referred to World War Z as something else... Whoops... The book version of World War Z is a series of mini stories about a zombie out-break and what different people do to combat it or survive around the world. The film version puts Brad Pitt in the role of all the people, and awkwardly throws him around the planet with little information given as to why...

Everyone Gets A Fiver [Ep15, ft Kay Blayney]

13879461_1230784973633227_7183220755106137343_n.jpg

Today's guest and mediator-of-the-inevitable-craziness is Kay Blayney. Kay is a host on Cambridge 105, as well as working in various arts-related and education positions. We discuss our ideal celebrity, built from other celebrities' body parts; what laws we would enact should we suddenly rise to power; and whether or not you yawn in your sleep.

SHOW NOTES

Liam chose to incorporate singer and actor Danny Kaye into his Celebrity-Frankenstein. You can find a copy of the original Secret Life Of Walter Mitty movie, or indeed anything else by Danny Kaye, with this link.

Should you fancy listening to a duck-related song which isn't a bit segregatie and unpleasant, here you go:

Ben's dinner party guest was Charlie Brooker who created amongst other things, Black Mirror - a dark exploration of technology and societal norms. Sometimes humorous, and always deeply intriguing. You can get get a hold of seasons 1 & 2 with this link right here, and keep an eye on Channel 4 for new episodes.

Lastly, why not grab a copy of Carry On Screaming and check out the weird zombie-werewolf-Frankenstein things that are Oddbod and Oddbod Jr, (they're both Homo Gargantuoso, apparently). We're reliably informed that this is the least bawdy and offensive of all Carry On films, so it's got that going for it. Grab a copy with this link here.

This week, Roman Armstrong and the hat went head to head to win the conversation fight! We ponder some alternate uses for popcorn, compare life hacks with common sense, play Getting To Know You and wonder what if men had periods?

Nestled within the podcast is sketch 'Super-ultra-mega-hyper-man-thing Vs. Hieronymus Manfred Colapepsi Symthe' and some great musical advice for your love life. Not that you need it. You're great.
