Today on the Conversation Hat Podcast we're joined by Dazz and Greg - 2 of the team behind YouTube's most-subscribed gaming trivia channel, DidYouKnowGaming? We discuss games that did not live-up to expectations, invent animal-based weapons on the spot and pretty much ramble for a bit.
This episode features a musical ditty entitled I Was The Unexpected Item In The Bagging Area, written and performed by Liam.
As an added bonus, here is a video version of this episode, which is about 80mins in length (that's double this audio version).
SHOW NOTES
For your viewing pleasure, this is one of our favourite episodes of DYKG, (details taken from the video description), taking a look at "some facts, secrets, Easter eggs and history of Doom (2016). Doom is a FPS video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda... This iteration of Doom serves as a reboot of the franchise, and is also the fourth title in the main series replacing the cancelled Doom 4."
Tiptoes (2003). (Summary from IMDb) "Two brothers, a dwarf (Rolfe) and one of typical size (Steve). When Steve's girlfriend Carol becomes pregnant, the pair are fearful that the baby will inherit the dwarfism gene. Matters are complicated still further when she finds herself falling in love with Rolfe." It looks horrendous. But, we'll let you make-up your own mind.
FUN FACT: we had an embedded player for the movie trailer here but for some reason it got removed from YouTube. Go figure.
As mentioned in the pod, if you want a game like Diablo 3, (which I do), you can check out Path of Exile's trailer below, or it's website over here. (Details from the website) "Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast. It is designed around a strong online item economy, deep character customisation, competitive PvP and ladder races."
